Educational Institutions Closed from March 10 to March 31 in Punjab — Exam Schedules Remain Unchanged
The Punjab government has announced that all public and private educational institutions will remain closed from March 10 to March 31, 2026. The decision applies to schools, colleges, and universities across Punjab.
This step has been taken as part of emergency measures to reduce fuel consumption amid the ongoing global oil crisis. Authorities aim to manage energy resources more efficiently during the current situation.
Online Classes May Continue
According to the official notification, physical classes will remain suspended, however online classes may continue where possible. Educational institutions have been advised to shift academic activities online during this period.
Exam Schedule Will Not Change
Despite the temporary closure of institutions, all examination schedules will remain unchanged. Students are advised to continue their exam preparation according to the previously announced timetable.
For example, Punjab government schools have already scheduled annual examinations starting from March 9, 2026 for grades 1–8, and these exams will proceed as planned.

Closures in Other Provinces
Similar announcements have been made in other parts of the country:
- Balochistan: Educational institutions will remain closed from March 10 to March 23, 2026.
- Sindh: All schools and colleges will remain closed on March 11, 2026, in observance of Youm-e-Ali.

- Continue preparing for their exams according to the existing exam schedule.
- Stay updated with official announcements from their respective education boards and institutions.
